November 2, 1917

 The famous Balfour Declaration centenary  that I missed on the date 11/2/1917

It was a letter written by British Foreign secretary Arthur Balfour on November 2nd during those rough times of WW I, to Lord Rothchild a prominent figure in the British Zionist circles,
  His Majesty's Government  view with favor the establishment in Palestine, a National Home for the Jewish People and will use their best endeavors to facilitate the achievement of this object, it being clearly understood that nothing shall be done that may prejudice the civil and religious rights of existing non-Jewish communities in Palestine or the rights and political status enjoyed by Jews in any other country."       
  There was a whole bit of political background in which this British sympathy for the Zionists developed and unfortunately for the Palestinians made worse by the Ottoman siding with the Germany in that war.
 The people and in fact the whole Muslim world is still suffering all the atrocities of The West since then. The British Mandate of 28 years 1920 to 1948 helped establish Israel a Jewish State

Reading this document it is evident how the confusing statements were interpreted by all the politicians of Europe and America The Zionists had worked hard to develop sympathy in UK and USA which paid off handsomely
