It was a historical night for the human beings when Angel Gabriel asked Muhammad PBUH to recite and he expressed himself being uneducated so the angel embaced him and eventually the famous revelation of initial 4 ayaat of sura Alaq
Some Sufee thinking (Mystical) interprets this event as connection with the Creator through the angel, the embrace being very meaningful and the word Alaq (something that clings/connects) also very very meaningful resulting in growth to connect to the Creator. So Prophet's saying I am uneducated/uninitiated means the slate of his heart is empty and then the revelation gets written on his heart In this connection it is worth reading Maulana Rumi:
Does anyone write something on a place
That has already been written over?
Or plant a sapling where one already grows
No, he seeks a blank piece of paper
and sows the seed where none has been sown
Sister! be bare earth that you may be ennobled
By the pen of revelation,
So that the Gracious One may sow seed within you
