Unusual person
Mr Glen Silver in his late fifties ends up having cardiovascular surgery. I dont know the details maybe I will get his daughter Candice to relate to me what complications developed but he died and our Masjid was full for praying (Janaza) for the departed brother who had accepted Islam only 6-7 years earlier, after he left his Pastor position in Durham having served Christian cmmunity for over 15 years. He became my friend as we talked about Quran frequently, his deep interest in Divine scriptures
I was unable to go to cemetery for burial due to my own disabilities
May Allah forgive his sins andd award him high position in Jannah.
I want to add something more here today June 1st 2025. I am realizing more from my recent readings that Mr Glen Silver was a very special individual as Allah SWT chose him due to his deep interest in God and His scriptures that were eventually a guide/reason for him to revert to Islam having been a regfular Pastor in a small church in Durhan NC for over 15 years None of his children including Candice who was attached to her father more than others and none of his two wives were Muslims he did not force them and his dovorce of first wife was not because of islam. To practice proper Islam and express love for Quran and its learning make him one of those special persons I believe who are attracted and gyuuided to Islam and thats why I consider them special Muslim not like us born Muslims. May Allah SWT award Glen Silver a high position in Jannah
No connection with the state of Israel except this date that exactly 75 years earlier this state was born/created form mixed up policies and clever political plans of the Jewish leaders. I remember as a first year student joining a group of college (Islamia) students demonstrating the breaking up of Palestine I hardly knew anything about it myself and did not understand but joining slogans for falasteen. And I have since then participated in many such demonstrations for Falasteen/Palestine
