This is an attempt at Translation of an Urdu article by Mufti Mohammad Qasim Siddiqui that appeared in Urdu paper (probably Jung) some years ago"
یقیں پیدا کر اے غافل کہ مغلوب گماں ہے تو و
"Create a positive attitude O despondent fellow you are under the influence of uncertainty
After the unsuccessful freedom fight of 1857 the condition of Muslims (in British India) had deteriorated to the lowest ebb from every aspect. Continued decay in educational and ideational levels was evident and they had failed politically. From the point of view of action/performance they were the lowest of the low. Yet the nation did have some men who tried to uplift the Muslims and encourage them. On the other hand, the western civilization and education was luring the Intelligentsia of the nation into their deceit. In these circumstances for renovation of deen and reorganization of the nation God Almighty created some Godly men the top one of whom was Allama Mohammad Iqbal (11/9/1877 to 21st April 1938). He was an incomparable poet, a pride worthy thinker, an esteemed lawyer, an august author, and a healer for the Nation. An example of his novel services is when the Islamic way of government was being discussed at the worldly level he presented a full account of an Islamic government that was solidified after his death in the form of Pakistan. Unfortunately, the unreliable leaders, ignoring the intent of Pakistan, crossed all the limits of inhumanity for worldly greed and avarice. That resulted in a system of government that would have demonstrated a model of a grand democratic system of model of government amongst the Muslim nations of the world Instead of that a Government formed of a degraded type. Anyway, the Allama perceiving the pulse of the nation, instead of wasting time in answering the objections of the antiMuslim people, started raising the young intellectuals of the nation to a higher understanding He wanted them to be aware of the reality and restoration of the collective organization of past glory
Addressing an individual of the nation, unlike the Ulama or the Jurists, or reformers, he adopted a novel way of elucidation of the truth of Islam, and he stirred up the nation thus:
خودی کی جلوتوں میں مصطفائ
خودی کی خلوتوں میں کبریائ
زمین و آسماں کرسی و عرش
خودی کی زد میں ہے ساری خدائ
Briefly, The Allama is saying as God creates in the hearts human dignity which was exposed/demonstrated by the prophet SAWS It is heavier than all He has created in the heavens and earth etc. The author of "Mauj-e-Kawser" writes in it, explaining Iqbal's philosophy that aims at fostering the complete Man (Insan-e-Kamil). In order to achieve that he divides his philosophy into two parts. One is for the individual development of each man which is described in"Israr-e-Khudi" Then in "Ramuz-e-Khudi" he takes up the collective organizational development being a part of the nation. The objective of Iqbal's philosophy is that Man with hard work and personal reformation marching through 1. Obedience, 2, Self-control, and 3. as God's vicegerent - brings human dignity to its ultimate height and then keeps it for the use of spiritual and material progress of the nation. Expounding the set of Islamic beliefs and pillars of religion, the Allama has uncovered those facts which are the reason to call this religion as 'a way of life'. There is no place for any placidity, despair, gloom, loss, defeat, despondency, scare. According to the Allama, belief in Unity (Tawheed) is a living force and not just verbal affirmation, that is displayed in a firm faith. Once this belief sets itself in the heart of a person, he forgets everything other than Allah and nothing can scare or influence him
Tawheed frees him from all worldly and material limits and restrictions. No force in the world can stop him from progress and advancement Introducing this fact to the believer He says:
آشنا اپنی حقیقت سے ہواے دہقاں ذرا
دانہ تو کھیتی بھی توباراں بھی تو حاصل بھی تو
کانپتا ہے دل ترااندیشہءطوفاں سے کیا
ناخدا تو بحر تو کشتی بھی تو ساحل بھی تو
شعلہ بن کے پھونک دےخاشاک غیرآللہ کو
خوف باطل کیا ہےغارتگر باطل ہے تو
بے خبر تو، جوہر آینہء ایّام ہے
تو زمانے میں خدا کاآخری پیغام ہے
اپنی اصلیت سے ہوآگاہ اے غافل کہ تو
قطرہ ہےلیکن مثال بحر بے پایاں بھی ہے
کیوں گرفتارطلسم ہیچ مقداری ہےتو
دیکھ تو پوشیدہ تجھ میں شوکت طوفاں بھی ہے
تو ہی ناداں چند کلیوں پر قناعت کر گیا
ورنہ گلشن میں علاج تنگیء داماں بھی ہے

The Muslim belief in Tawheed is not just a part of the set of Islamic beliefs but it is an invisible force that cannot be understood by its analysis or human intellect When a Momen declares La Ilaha Illallah he not only refutes worship of any other than Allah but at the same time declares there is no force other than Allah and nobody who can give you any gains or loss, no helper no reliever no supporter other than Allah Just Him, the one and only, with no partners, the real performer who has all and everything within His power and when this belief becomes complete man becomes free of all fears and apprehensions of this world, its problems/difficulties or fear of the Otherworld. The Allama says
خودی کا سرّ نہاں لا الہ الا اللہ
خودی کا تیغ فساں لا الہ الااللہ
Hidden under La Ilaha Illalaah is the force that cuts (all ghairAllah)
Khwaja Gharib Nawaz Ajmeri RA pointing to the same guide, in this way:
سر داد نہ داد دست در دست یزید
حقّا کہ بنائے لا الہ است حسین
The truth is that Hussain's basis of sacrificing his head rather than accepting Yazid as Khalifa is La Ilaha Illallah.
The prophet SAWS produced an incredible and a huge revolution in the human world from the message of Tawheed. Having the Beduin Arabs understand this message transformed them into torchbearers of Knowledge and sciences and they swept over the whole world bringing down the greatest rulers of the day who came under their wings. Today the same belief of Tawheed is just a matter of discussion for the intelligence
زندہ قوّت تھی جہاں میں یہی توحید کبھی آج کیا ہے؟ فقط اک مسلہء علم کلام
