Weddings in Bollywood Films

For years as far back as the beginning of Talkies I have seen the wedding night of poor as well as rich Grooms entering the Bride's room  on their first night

The bride is sitting on the bed with ghoonghat and bed is filled with flowers with garlands of hundreds of flowers hanging around the bed and in the room everywhere  (?a wish of every man which gets translated in the movie scene) How often does it actually happen in any culture? I dont remember seeing that in any weddings I have known and neither on my own.

There is another observation about religious scenes

Mostly being Hindu temples and moorti pooja in homes are OK and very often mixed with church scenes or some similar Christian occasion  For fun mostly Holi is pictured for obvious reasons and rarely Christmas (may be  should be more often but Indian Christmas is not like the Western one, so not like Hollywood). For Muslim religious scenes much more common is  dargah visit with the hero or others visiting with head covered with a handkerchief (not only Muslim but also non-Muslim role actors) and a grave of somebody seen with flower spread or chader and even showing making sajda (Obvious abominable shirk) both Muslim role and nonmuslim role actors Many a time qawwali shown for adding "fun" (and of course it is with all the typical qawwal movements that make a good scene) Only occasionally one would see a group (jama-at) praying namaz in a masjid  (Not much fun) and sometimes Eid
Nowadays I see more often Churches than Dergah (Muslim effect) although I thought culturally speaking Christianity is not as common in India. Muslim Culture has had more and long-standing mix with Indian culture but Bollywood is becoming affected by BJPism, I guess.
