It was funny to look at the face of Ramdas who was a whiteman turned Indian Hindu spiritual (maybe he was in company of Jogis. Just a couple of days ago died making a news
I was already in residencies of Medicine and Neurology newly arrived in USA from UK when Beetles and others like Rolling Stones or B Gees etc. were in command of the youth all over the world
And I learned new words like PSYCHEDELIC, as I was dealing with lot of effects of drugs as well as Alcohol (in my understanding that is also a drug) So I became accustomed to all that I saw the Beetles (and others) travelling to India in the Himalayas especially Nepal where for some reason all the people found a place of "pilgrimage" of some kind
And the "Haray Rama Haray Krishna" becoming a sort of movement White youngsters in typical Hindu color clothing chanting this (did they know any meaning at all) That was a white Westerner's fascination and lasted some years But I had never learned about this RamDas
How drugs induced all kind of effects especially the hallucinogenic drugs and a drug culture had appeared which in some way metamorphosed into spiritualism real or drug related. The music associated with that resulted in 1969 gathering (Woodstock) of a million youth where youngsters spent time getting drugs excitement as well as bay hayaiee and fahashi
That is why I have difficulty in separating real Jogi-ism or soofi-ism and love of The Creator from such artificially produced states
