Teachers and their impact on your life

I will relate my personal experience to illustrate my point.
I had a history teacher in my early school times whose method of teaching was dull and un-inspiring. In addition, his methods of 'punishments' were disgusting. the result was that I lost all interest in the subject and it remained my weakest subject for the rest of my school period.
Next, my teacher of Physics (in college) whom we called "theta" was not a great teacher but took interest in how students performed. He did not mind being "nicknamed". He would find ways to encourage you and so he did somehow encourage me as this was my weak subject. The result was that in the final exam my score was highest in Physics out of all other subjects even my fav. ones
Teachers, how they relate to the students for their betterment do have an important job to perform and no matter how 'large' the class each student should be able to feel that the teacher has a special interest in you because that goes a long way in producing an impact on your life in general and you remember them with respect.
