Aah- "Radiating Radiated Rashid"

 Of course everything that lives must die some day, there are no ifs or buts.
 We buried our long time friend yesterday, Mr. Rashid Khan whose regular email letters I'll mis
 He maintained his sense of humor till the end, fighting the treacherous cancer with all the 'weapons' made available to him by Allah SWT a true Muslim approach. Rashid Khan signed his letters "Radiating radiated Rashid", to make sure we, his audience, appreciated his heart. Hats off to you Rashid Bhai.
In these letters he kept us updated in his progress in this battle, so very thoughtful of him.
 May Allah SWT award him Jannat-ul-firdaus-aameen

Memorial Day

 The only thing I do not like about this day (No, I am not unpatriotic, I am a good American)--is that they show only those old war movies on TCM and I do not like all those movies as I have seen them year after year for so long.
 As on any holiday I end up missing my grandkids. (Well, this is because it is easier for their parents to get time off on such occasions) If you are retired and 'disabled' like I am you kind of count daily or weekly things that can bring a smile or some degree of happiness in your heart. Amazing thing God has given us

They  love you even if you do not have any candies for them and as far as giving is concerned we the grandparents feel like giving them everything and anything regardless of spoiling them or making their parents uneasy because it is an uncommon glee when a grandchild says
