"Legitimate Rape" vs MURDER of a woman's soul/dignity

 May be it was a slip of tongue or a deliberate statement by Mr. Akin but it sure has caused a political firestorm and very rightly so .
 I understand the position of Pro-life and and some cases I would be prolife too but to insist disallowing abortion to a rape victim is not just political stand of republicans it is downright unfair and cruel to the fair sex.
 It was hilarious for me to hear about the opening ceremoney of RC this week to start with Condoleeza Rice doing a powerpoint with "Female Reproductive System". They need to hear and understand what a female human being is. Understanding the anatomy does not do that
 I think if us, the men I mean start calling Rape as a MURDER of a woman's soul/dignity it would be more appropriate and closer to the truth and may be men will understand

Yawm-eAzadi mubarik for all Pakistanis

  Today is 26th of Ramadan and very much like 26th of Ramadaan of 1947 August 14, as I woke up on 15th of August in my village as Pakistani whereas I went to sleep on 14th as Indian.
 It was also Jumu'at-ul-Wida'a of the blessed Ramadan of 1947 (1366 Hijrah)
 AND I thought quite innocently that Allah SWT has made such a blessed day and night as the first day and night of this great Muslim country which I knew in those days as the 'largest Muslim country of the world and that it would be governed by Sharia rules. (Pakistan ka matlab kia-la ilaha illa-allah)
 That is what makes me sad, what has happened to this country over the last 66 years. How can the new generation feel what I want them to as I cannot express in the words my feelings of that blessed day. The remarkable resemblance of this Ramdaan/August combination and 14/26 dates of the two calanders (Georgian and Hijri) will always bring such thoughts to those who experienced it. It may be I will not live to see this combination happen again but I must leave it for the posterity.
 So happy independence day (یوم آزادی مبارک   ) for all Pakistanis who read this.
